Picture Proud all started because my closest friend was due to have her first baby (so a big thank you to you Lorraine) and I wanted to send that little something that was different than flowers & clothes! I wanted a unique gift, a gift that had a wow factor, but most of all a gift that had a lasting memento!
I then set about putting together the Train picture, it was originally done in acrylic paints, I then hand calligraphed Jamies personal details within the picture, very subtly putting his name, weight, date & time of birth. I then wanted Jamie to treasure the picture for ever and know who sent it, so I put a very personalised message on the back to tell him also how much we will love him & who it was from! I then framed it, beautifully tissue wrapped it, boxed it & tied it with a baby blue ribbon and delivered it to Jamie in Hospital.
Mum & Dad were overwhelmed, the reaction I wanted! It now sits proud on his wall today. So from that I set about thinking how I could develop this into a business, and at the same time I so wanted to put that smile on lots of Mums & Dads faces when this beautiful gift arrives!
Since then, you can see I have compiled a collection of my own unique designs, and I'll now continue to work on new designs for the future. However, since starting Picture Proud I've had my own child; Charlotte. She's just so adorable, and as a mum you so want them to have the best! So I've grown Picture Proud as a company really, alongside my pregnancy with Charlotte who is now 6 years of age, and thought about our needs and also what we would like!
All my products are a fantastic gift for what ever occasion, it may be a New Arrival, a Christening, a Special Birthday, Christmas, Get well, Easter or just simply Mum & Dad want to buy something a little different!
2009 sees the launch of our brand new web site. We no longer cater only for children. Now all ages & all occasions are catered for. If there is anything specific you are looking for, then please do get in touch and we will be glad to see if we can help! One thing I am proud of though. Throughout the years I have been going is that we continued to offer a quality hand made product crafted here in the UK. We know our customers appreciate the craftsmanship that goes in to all our personalised products, so know they are purchasing a product that will last a lifetime, worth every penny, and which will be treasured for many years to come!
