Rodgers and Hammerstein were an American songwriting duo. They are most famous for creating a string of immensely popular Broadway musicals in the 1940's and 1950's, during what is considered the golden age of the medium. Arguably "The Sound of Music" show might have been their greatest achievement. Andrew Lloyd Webber, (Baron Lloyd-Webber) is a highly successful British composer of musical theatre. Lloyd Webber has enjoyed great popular success, with several musicals that have run for more than a decade both in the West End and on Broadway. He has composed 13 musicals, the best known being "The Phantom of the Opera"
